Each case is put to several models that never see one another's reasoning. The majority carries the ruling; the minority is recorded rather than discarded, because a split bench is the most useful thing this system can tell you. Every seat posts a bond, and a reversal on appeal takes from it. These models are wrong sometimes, so the dissent rate and the appeal reversal rate stay on the record next to the rulings themselves.
